1986 Mercedes-Benz 560SL R107

The subtle and elegant design is classic and attractive. It
has very mild curves and accents that don't leap out at you,
but combine in a subtle way to please the eye like few
other cars can.

Notice the elegant downward curve of the decklid, a
design feature carried over from the earlier designs
known as "Pagodas" for their resemblence to Japanese
architecture.

When asked to think of a Mercedes-Benz, these cars are often
the first coming to mind - its distinctive styling makes it a
popular choice for props in TV shows and movies.

We extensively service and inspect these cars in
our Bosh-certified shop prior to offering them for
sale.  This car recived new motor mounts,
subframe bushings, transmission mounts, an
oil service, brake flush, and filters.  We are R107
SL enthusiasts, and enjoy preparing a fine example
for a new owner.  This car is tight and ready to go.

This photo shows not just the low original miles, but also
the deep orange finish on the speedometer.  In most of
these cars, this labeling has faded to lighter orange, yellow,
or even white.  To remain this much like new, this car
had to be kept indoors, and away from UV light.

The original factory radio remains installed and functional.

The real burl wood trim remains in very good condition with a
deep, glossy finish.  In lesser examples, this area can show
moderate to severe wear, and there are more bad refinishes
out there than good ones.  Having original factory wood as
in this car is a major plus.

The passenger seat is as clean and nice as the driver side.

The door panels are clean and tight. 

The sun visors on these cars are often word, faded, or
even broken.  The excellent condition of these is further
testament to its light usage.

The top well area on some of these cars can be in terrible
condition, particularly if the soft top is put away wet.  The
well on this car is as nice as I've ever seen on one of these,
with the original foam bumpers still intact, no signs of water
incursion, and no rust of any kind.

This photo shows one of the most remarkable aspects of
this car - the rubber seals on virtually all of these cars show
far more wear, as the top canvas tends to rub against it
when being stowed.  For the rubber seal on this car to be so
perfectly intact and nice, it shows that not only was the top
stowed carefull when used, but was also very rarely put down. 
Though consistently driven, this example obviously received
very ginger usage, and primarily with the top up or hard
top installed.

The trunk area is immaculate and has been very rarely used.
